Get Ahead by Going Abroad
with
Perry Yeatman, senior vice president for corporate affairs, Kraft Foods
The changing global dynamic is creating new opportunities for emerging leaders, especially women, as companies expand their international operations. Young professionals who are prepared to "go global" by pursuing opportunities overseas can often have greater opportunities for success and dramatically accelerate their careers. Perry Yeatman, who quickly escalated her own career in this fashion, reveals the important professional opportunities an international experience offers. She says, “I never would have gotten there had I not gone overseas.”
Perry Yeatman is an expert on international careers and the senior vice president for corporate affairs at Kraft Foods. In this role, she is one of the top 50 executives and a key advisor to the CEO of the world’s second-largest food and beverage company. After stints in Singapore, Moscow, and London, she returned to the U.S., where by the age of 36 she had become a senior executive in a Fortune 100 company. Yeatman is co-author with Stacie Nevadomski Berdan of Get Ahead by Going Abroad: A Woman’s Guide to Fast-Track Career Success, which will be available for purchase and signing at the program.
The program will be moderated by Thomas Mucha, assistant managing editor, Crain’s Chicago Business.
